The 2024 Haunted History Tour, jointly presented by the Historical Society of Cumming/Forsyth County and AgeWell Forsyth, was a hit again this year. Thirteen ghosts appeared in the Cumming Historic Cemetery (established 1834) to tell visitors their stories, including, in order, Alonzo and Alena Fowler, Lt Col. George Merritt, A.J. Kelly, Robert and Elizabeth Montgomery, Kemp family, Henry Foster, George Heard, Dr. John and Mary Hockenhull Jr., Dr. and Mrs. Marcus Mashburn Sr., Dr. Ancil and Mary Strickland, John Joseph Lovelady, and DeWitt (Gilley) Thomas. There were also a few uninvited guests, including the Woman in Black and some sneaky spectres darting about.
