2025 Accomplishments

Realized we had not posted the update for our 2025 activities, here's as many as we can remember!

• Quarterly small grants for individual applicants in need of home repair / yard work / improvements for accessibility, other assistance
• Senior Assistance Fund – cat and dog food for Meal-on-Wheels participants / incontinence products for MOW, other needs of MOW participants
• Grant for unfunded Meal -on-Wheels applicants
• Grant for Respite Care support at Senior Center(s)
• Grant for transportation for Senior Center congregate participants
• Additional bus for “Senior Day at the Capitol” trip
• Valentine Party at Sexton Hall for congregate
• Support for and participation in Forysth County Senior Expo
• Grant from Gainesville Food Bank for $10,000 for updating food truck
• Food for food truck, congregate members in need, and additional food for MOW participants
• Sweet potatoes and cards for Valentine Day gift for MOW participants
• Green apples and cards for St. Patrick Day for MOW participants
• Easter meal for MOW participants
• 30 Volunteer Appreciation Day Kroger cards
• Food for MOW spring and summer produce as needed 
• “Hoe Down Party” at Central Hall for congregate in September
• Co-ran the “Haunted History Tours” of Cumming Cemetery fundraiser in October
• Pies for Thanksgiving Meal at Central Park
• Christmas Meal plus gift for MOW participants / Christmas Cards and candy included
• $30 Volunteer Appreciation Christmas gifts
