3rd Quarter 2026 Grant Applications Period opens on July 1, 2026. Application period closes on September 15, 2026.
Our Helping Seniors (Small Grant) program is intended to assist any private citizen or organization (student, civic, etc.) who wishes to assist an individual or group of seniors by completing a project that could improve their living conditions or quality of life. Examples might include building a handicap ramp at the private home of a senior; developing and provisioning an activity program for a senior living facility; repairing/improving in-home accessibility or outdoor safety at a home. Personal grant applications are also accepted for one-time expenses such as yard work, fixing or replacing an appliance, or urgent minor home repair; or medical equipment such as a walker.
At least one grant of up to $2,000 will be awarded each quarter. Several smaller grants make take the place of one large one, so you are encouraged to apply for an expense or project for a senior in need even if it only requires a few hundred dollars.
For 3rd quarter 2026, the application period opens on July 1; completed applications should be returned by the September 15 deadline; submissions will be reviewed and one grant will be awarded September 30, 2026. Any government or agency permissions required would also need to be obtained by the applying person/organization.
